Running on Empty
Here is an Adobe version of the booklet used to launch the Trusted Finance initiative. Funded by the Baptist Union of Wales this church resource tool includes four reflective studies and introduces the reader to the concept of a Christian community looking at financial matters from a Christian perspective. This booklet is available to churches in hardcopy free of charge - just Contact Us and perhaps donate a small amount to cover the postage and printing costs.
Training material
Six short courses giving the basics behind some everyday financial matters most people will have to deal with during their lives. Course 1 is available here for you to look at. If you like what you see and feel you could use it then please Contact Us for the supporting material and for access to the remaining five courses.
Policy Statements
To operate a debt management service in your church then you should draft some policy statements that clearly set out how you will operate your service. This is good corporate governance - it demonstrates how you are accountable. To save you the time and effort of creating your own (believe me it was a lot of time and effort!) then please feel free to draw inspiration from the attached.
Client Authority letter
If you do find yourselves taking on a client's affairs then here is a useful authority letter you may use.
Can't download?
These files have been created in Microsoft Office 2007. Many people still run the 2003 version and so there may be compatability issues.
If you can't download these files then Contact Us and we'll send you a different version.
